Sorry about all the cobwebs.
Texas Radio Theatre *still* exists in cyberspace. We occasionally produce new productions, though we haven't performed live in a while.
A new production is planned for October 2017 in cooperation with a Dr Who event in Grapevine Texas.
Stay Tuned.

Scorched Earth Complete
Back in February we were approached by the I-35 Radio Rep to help them produce a 9 part audio drama series called Scorched Earth.
Written and directed by Bruce R. Coleman, the series takes place in a little Texas town called Makepeace in the early 70's and centers around a strange visitor who suddenly appears on a night when all the lights go out for miles around. We just completed the final episode today. Here are links to the entire 9 part series all in one place for your convenience.
I. A Stranger Among Us
II. Parasite
III. Blood
IV. Confessions
V. Fugitives
(yes - fugitives is spelled wrong in the link ... d'oh)
VI. Dreams
VII. Caught
VIII.Reunion
IX. Homecoming
I hope you enjoy listening, as much as we enjoyed producing it for the I 35 Radio Rep
A small disclaimer - unlike the majority of our Texas Radio Theatre projects, the following audiodrama contains some language which is considered PG-13. If you're concerned about that sort of thing, you might preview a few before letting your youngest listen in.

Ten Years of TRTC!
October marks the tenth anniversary of the Texas Radio Theatre Company. TRTC actually started a bit earlier than October (almost a year), but that month marked our very first public performance.
Due to full schedules, this October marks our first performance in 2011, and it's going to be a good one.
Auditions are on September 18th, followed by a performance of a Dick Tracy lost episode by The Generic Radio Workshop. Come by the Arlington Museum of Art soon for a little theatre of the mind.

Podcast #50 - VIRUS - Son of Schlock Audio Theatre
This is the first step alien love child (son) of Schlock Audio Theatre.
The film we poke fun at is Kinji Kukasaku’s VIRUS, a dreadfully bleak film due to its being cut to ribbons for an international audience. Virus was made in 1980 and originally starred Masao Kusakari, George Kennedy, Robert Vaughn, Chuck Connors, Olivia Hussey, Edward James Olmos, Ken Ogata, Sonny Chiba and Glenn Ford.
There is nothing like this post-apocalyptic sci-fi movie where human-kind witnesses the three way sucker punch of… 1) a killer pandemic from a genetically engineered super virus 2) Complete nuclear annihilation and 3) A half dozen famous international actors cast and directed by a woefully under budget Japanese-speaking film crew!!!
Join us now for an audio play that brings the human race to it's knees.
Vocally interpreted by: Mitch Carr, Bryan Douglas, Doug Goodrich, Larry Groebe, Rebecca Jordan, Bryan Lockett, Tiffany Lonsdale-Hands, Susan McMath Platt, Reg Platt, Joe Porter, Ken Raney, Dona Safran, Kelly Scott, Ric Spiegel and Jordan Willis
Runtime 63:30 min - 87.2 MB

Look out... it's nearly here...
Virus! - a "Son of Schlock" audio drama that was recorded in November '09 is in the final stages of mixdown. Links will be posted here shortly -- soon after it will be available on iTunes.
According to Wikipedia the original film was released June 26, 1980. Our Schlocky send up to this swiss cheese of a film ought ...to be available well before it's 30th anniversary.
ALSO: We have a couple more raw recordings that need to me mixed down and posted to the podcast, and we hope to perform a couple of new plays for you in the near future.
At the very latest - October / November is looking very promising... (but we hope to offer something to you much sooner.)
